BAYGENTS, James C.
Ph.D., Princeton University, 1991. Dr. Baygents research interests involve transport
and interfacial phenomena, particularly in colloidal systems. Included in his present work
are the following topics: the electrohydrodynamics of drops and bubbles; nonlinear
electrokinetic effects (e.g. electrorotation and dielectrophoresis); nucleic acid and
protein separations (e.g. capillary elecrophoresis and electrochromatography); and
transport and interfacial phenomena in biophysical systems (e.g. bacterial transport in
porous media). Dr. Baygents was a recent recipient of an NSF International Research
Fellowship. |
